There's also another exercise given,
So the task is to choose one object and transform it into all of the adjective.

For this task, I had "Clock" as the object I'm going to transform

#Passionate

First thing, that came to my mind when i heard the word "Passionate" is lips, red lips.
Thats why i decided to transform the clock into lips-like figure.

#Creative

As for a creative clock, i figured that creative will be connected with many colors and definitely not a geometric shapes.

So this is what i did..

#Brave

Well for this, i didn't know what to do at first, so i end up researching for the world "Brave" in google image, but when the results came out, most of the pictures were related to the movie "Brave".
But later i realized was the main character's hair, bright red, like a fire, which actually represent something bold/courageous, which gave me an idea.
So i decided to make a "Fire Clock"

#Sad

Normally when people are sad, they'll start to cry and feel relief after it.
So i decided to draw a face crying inside of the clock and some tears coming out for my so called "Sad Clock".

#Greedy

Greed could be of many types, people could be greedy for food, money, power, etc.

So for my "greedy clock" i drew a person with evil eyes and a smile (which hopefully look like a greedy expression) while holding a sack filled with money.

#Hardworking

 Lastly is "Hardworking clock"
For this i made a stick man beside the clock pushing a handle(in a circular motion), since the inside is all filled with gear, it couldn't start to rotate on its own unless there's some force given to rotate the first gear which in turn rotates the other gears.
So i pictured this stickman, in spite of its size pushing the handle to make the gear rotate.

Topic 2:

For this topic we are suppose to combine a soft object and hard object.

#1st idea:

Its a combination wine and ring
The ring will have an opening to drink the wine, this way you could track your wine consumption and also drink it anywhere.

#2nd idea:

The 3rd idea is about combining coconut and bubbles

The coconut will be some kind of container for the soap solution for creating bubbles. On top of the coconut there'll be holes which the bubble will come out, one of which will have a straw to blow the sopa solution to create bubbles.

 #3rd idea:

This is the combination of jam(for soft) and sword (for hard)
The sword will be used to spread the jam, the pointy part of the sword is where the jam will come out, in the handle part there will be a button to release the jam and the bottom part is to refill the jam.

 #4th idea:

For the 4th idea we are combining a bag(soft) and a turtle (hard)
It was always difficult to get things out of the backpack since our backpack is full of stuff.
What if we have a turtle assisstant of our own which could take whatever we need out of the bag by pushing buttons on the other side of the shell.
Not only that, the shell will also be a protection, for example if u put your bag somewhere then there's another person bag placed on top of your bag.

#5th idea:

Ever wonder what mud(soft) and candy (hard) combine together be like?
"MudCandy" me and Yumiko only took the soft personality of the mud, so when the candy is soft as the mud, it'll melt by the time u put it in your tongue.

Friday 3 October 2014

This is what we did, which took us couple of hours to think and finish.

Topic 1:

#1st idea:

The first one is a combination of "Peanut" and an "Ashtray"

This is the result, a compact ashtray with the shape of peanut.
Its also portable, with a lid to prevent the ash from flying all over.

#2nd idea:

This one is a volcano and a lipstick
It could be called as a volcano stick, maybe.
This is actually a lipstick suitable for cold weather as it warms up the lips.
Its red in color which resemble the color of lava coming out of volcano, so more suitable for woman. It'll make u feel hotter XD.

#3rd idea:

For this one, this is a combination of lips and letter
And the result is an audio letter, its actually a speaker with the design of lips, it could be more easier to send message this way.

#4th idea:
This is a combination of coconut and a key (card key u usually get from hotel to access your room)
We decided to create a card access key from coconut by using its fiber, coconut outermost layer is covered by fibers, this fibers will definitely be different in every part of the coconut, the hotel could just cut pieces of the outer layer and process it like the previous plastic card key and make it as a card key.
More importantly the card will be more secured, cheap and since coconut is more biodegradable than plastic, helps to reduce unwanted waste.

#5th idea:

Last but not least is a combination of panda(for natural) and parking meter (for man-made)

So for this we decided to create a "Panda Parking Meter", with a coin inserter in its belly. The panda is also seemed to be eating a bamboo, this is actually a tool which shots thumbtacks to the car wheel if the owner of the car do not pay fee for parking the car.

Week 10

For this week, it will be about Forced Connection, which is actually combining two random objects to make or invent something new.

For the first task I'm still pairing up with Yumiko. For most of the task I've been pairing up with her, it feels really nice to work together, to cooperate together and get something to talk about.

For this time the task is
With two topic given we must choose words randomly (given) and create five ideas each topic connecting to the different words chosen.

This are all the words given

Friday 19 September 2014

Classwork would not be complete without a homework.

This task is actually interesting for me since it involved our imagination to see the things differently.

The theme for this task is  "Haunted by Faces"
This is an individual task, for this I'm supposed to take 10 pictures of everything that resemble a face

#1 This is actually a cloth hanger and is cute enough to be seen as a smiley face.

#2 This is a tissue box, the tissue resemble a mouth and both the button at both end somehow resemble eyes.

#3 This is a taken from the church just opposite to where I stay, both windows look like the eyes.

#4 this is taken from my pencil case, with a golden eyes and rounded nose somehow resemble an elephant maybe(?)

#5 This is taken from my classroom, with the speaker that look like an angry and small eyes and the projector screen like an open mouth.

#6 both the glass bottle look like an eye and one cap as a mouth can surely look like a surprise face, right?

#7 This is taken from a sharpener, with square black eyes and a sharp teeth, quite a scary but cute kinda look like a monster from a cartoon.

#8 This box surprisingly can look like a surprise face too, with square eyes and rectangle mouth that is.

#9 This is also part of the church, which might look like a person crying with a mouth open, like in a cartoonish way. The doors resembling the tears, window above the door as eyes and the center part as the mouth.

#10 This is a small drawer, which could also resemble a face in a way, with 2 eyes and long pink mouth.
This is what we did

#1

The first idea is "As Thin as a pencil"
Since pencil is always design thin, i thought it might be suitable to resemble a thin lady.

The second idea is "As sharp as a pencil", this represent a sharp pencil which may be suited to describe a sharp person, (i.e. smart person).

#2

This is a typography of the words pencil with the font made of pencil.

#3
This is drawing made by a part of pencil..

< *1 A pencil shavings can somehow resemble a skirt

<*2 and also a lamp cap

<*3 If upside down somehow resemble a crown

<*4 And lastly resemble an umbrella

#4
Lastly "Uses of Pencil":

->A pair of pencil can be used as a chopstick

->Stack many pencil together and glue it and there you go "A Pencil Case"

->Stack pencil together like before but don't forget to make the strap (out of pencil too) for carrying the bag

-> if you run out of arrow for your bow, don't forget you still can use a pencil as a replacement.

-> Even a simple pencil could be used as a hair accessories for those running out of colorful rubber band for tying hair.
Pencil also come in various color so still can be fashionable as well XD.

And finally if mix up together the result would be ..
